Complete decommissioning of food factory
In December 2019, the planning phase of decommissioning a complete pasta factory commenced.
PROGRESSU.DE was involved with the local project management organisation, along with health, safety and environmental bodies recommended by the government.

Convenience meals
The factory was producing various types of (pasta) convenience meals such as lasagne, macaroni and spaghetti. It contained more than 2,000 machines for food and meat processing. Machines that had to be dismantled were meat grinders, tumblers, spiral freezers, multihead weighers, mixers, mills, packaging robots and much more.

The importance of adaptability
For the executive phase, a concise health and safety plan was written, and all the works were carefully logged. We were able to get a lot of work done in February and March, until the pandemic broke out. A construction stop was caused due to the lockdown, but we were able to continue the work after a few weeks under the new measures. In the summer of 2020, all works were rounded up and the factory was left broom clean, ready for the demolishment.
